com_album is a nice, simple to use, Joomla component for viewing and managing your photo album.
It supports view, movies, slide-show, upload, auto-tumbnail, comments and rotate functions.
Photo managing is done from the front-end, managing is possible for Joomla users with editing rights or higher (yo can configure this by the backend-component)
I write it while software like Gallery is much to complex.
Download it, or check for the latest release at http://breedveld.net
After installing, create a menu item to the com_album component and log
in to the front-end website with an account having at least editor
rights. A view/edit select box will appear, create a top-level a
category and an album, and you can upload your photo's, as jpg or in a
zip file.
